Privacy policy

Effective date: May 12, 2026.

FRx Insurance is an independent pharmacy billing reference. The public site is designed to be used without creating an account, logging in, or submitting patient-specific information.

Do not send personal health information. Do not email patient names, dates of birth, health card numbers, prescription numbers, claim reference numbers, prescriber identifiers, carrier case numbers, or screenshots that include identifiable patient details.

Information collected directly

The public pages do not ask visitors to submit names, patient identifiers, health card numbers, prescription numbers, or claim reference numbers. If a visitor voluntarily sends an email correction to info@frxinsurance.ca, the email address and message contents are received for the limited purpose of reviewing and responding to that correction.

Hosting logs

The site is hosted on third-party infrastructure. Standard server logs may include IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested URL, referring URL, date, and time. These logs are used for ordinary security, reliability, abuse-prevention, and troubleshooting purposes.

Local browser storage

The lookup tool may use local browser storage for interface preferences such as concise mode, cookie choice, and local-only preview or comment behaviour. This storage remains in the visitor’s browser and is not a user account. Clearing browser storage may reset these preferences.

Advertising and consent

The site may use Google AdSense. Advertising systems may use cookies, local storage, page metadata, device or browser information, and personal data such as IP address for ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency capping, measurement, reporting, and — only where permitted and consented to — ads personalization.

FRx now presents a cookie and advertising choice banner before loading Google advertising scripts. Visitors can reject non-essential advertising cookies and continue to use the lookup tool.

Cookie policy

The detailed cookie policy is published at /cookies/. It explains necessary storage, advertising cookies, local tool preferences, and how to change a choice.

Correction emails

If a correction is sent by email, the message may be retained long enough to review the issue, reply, and make a change. The sender should avoid including personal health information. A correction can be evaluated using source documents and page references without naming any patient.

Outbound links

Guide pages and source pages link to external public documents and program pages. Those external sites have their own privacy practices. FRx cannot control how a government site, carrier site, adjudicator site, manufacturer site, or advertising platform processes visits after a visitor leaves FRx.

Access, correction, and deletion requests

Privacy questions, deletion requests for correction emails, and privacy-related contact can be sent to info@frxinsurance.ca. FRx will respond on a best-effort basis and may need enough information to identify the email or message being referenced.

Children and audience

The site is written for adults working with pharmacy billing or researching pharmacy benefit workflows. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site changes, when advertising or consent tools change, or when the contact and correction workflow changes.
